Privacy statement
Last updated on 23/08/2026
This statement describes which data BaasPub processes, why, and how long it is kept. In short: we ask for no more than the quiz needs, and we sell nothing on. The Dutch version is the binding one; this translation is provided for convenience.
1. Who processes the data
The controller is BaasLabz, Stadspolderring 177, 3315 CJ Dordrecht, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 42142492. Questions about your data go to support@baaslabz.nl.
2. What we keep about hosts
From your account: your name, your email address and your password in encrypted form. We cannot read your password.
From your work: the quizzes you build, with their questions, answers, clips and images, and the sessions you played with the names, answers and scores of the players.
From your purchase: which period you bought, the amount, the date, the payment status and our own payment reference. Bank details and other payment data never reach us; they stay with Pay.
3. What we keep about players
Players need no account. We only keep the name someone types in to join, plus their answers and score in that session. No email address or phone number is asked for.
That data belongs to the host's session. If the host deletes the quiz, the sessions and player data attached to it go with it.
4. Why we process it
To perform the agreement: an account, quizzes, live sessions and their results. To process your payment and know until when your pass runs. And to secure the service and trace faults.
5. Who else sees the data
Pay. handles the payment and sees what you fill in on the payment screen.
YouTube (Google) serves the clips. When a video plays, your browser connects to YouTube and Google may collect data under its own terms.
Google Gemini is used if you let the AI draft questions. The topic you enter is then sent to Google. If you do not use that button, nothing is sent.
Openverse is called when you search for a photo in the question editor. Only your search term is sent.
Our hosting provider runs the server. Beyond that we share nothing with third parties, unless the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Your account, quizzes and sessions stay as long as your account exists. You can delete quizzes yourself; the sessions and player data attached to them go with them.
Payment records are kept for as long as Dutch tax law requires, currently seven years.
If you want your account gone entirely, email support@baaslabz.nl and we will remove it.
7. Cookies and browser storage
We use no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. There is no third-party visitor analytics on the site either.
Your browser does store a few things locally, because the app would not work otherwise: your sign-in token, your language choice and, for players, the name you used last time plus the token of the running session. Those stay on your own device.
When a YouTube clip plays, YouTube may set cookies of its own. That falls under Google privacy policy.
8. Your rights
You may view, correct, delete or export your data. Send an email to support@baaslabz.nl and we will arrange it. If we cannot work it out together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
9. Security
Traffic to the site runs over an encrypted connection and passwords are stored encrypted only. Access to the server is limited to those who administer it.
